Designing a Photovoltics Plant for a remote African village

How to design a PV plant so that it can supply electricity to places where there are no grid connections?

Take note of concerned load the houses would be in need of. For example if you take a 40W bulb, how many hours would they be using it or a radio for that matter or a TV.

Get details of sun energy that falls on that place which is otherwise called as Solar irradiation. These data are available on NASA website. They might not be as accurate as the local weather station data but for designing this data might help.

Getting these data is a good start :)

Sun the most defining and powerful source in our solar system and to our neighboring solar system as well. I am on the verge of becoming a Solar engineer and in the coming years will understand and evaluate more on harnessing more from Sun's energy than just burning the earth with CO2 emission.
